Your Bus, Your Say - Creating Better Journeys - October 2017
Your Bus, Your Say is a national campaign based on the successful local project run by Kincardine & Mearns CAB. The campaign aims to gather public opinion on bus services which will feed into a national Passenger Rights Charter.
Public transport is a priority for the Scottish Government with a new Transport Bill being introduced in 2018. The Bill is expected to cover buses; rural aspects; and local franchising and will aim to give local authorities a toolset to deliver transport better for Scottish communities – whilst recognising there is not a one size fits all solution.
The Bill presents opportunities both locally and nationally and this campaign has been developed so bureaux can influence decisions and effect real change in their communities.
Commencing on October 9th you will have the chance to share your opinions on what you want from your local bus service and be part of a campaign to create better journeys for you and your communities!
Once live (Oct 9th) you will be able to fill out the survey at www.cas.org.uk/betterbuses or visit your local Bureau to receive one and complete. If you are visiting one of our own outreaches and are interested in providing your opinion please let the adviser know and they will also be able to give you a survey to complete.
